This makes me so happy! I The fact that Microdosing inspired you so much, you wrote a bigger piece on it is worth more than any number of subscribers or likes it generates. I can't really explain how stoked I'm right now. Going to give this a proper read!

Great story. Really solid characterisation, got a strong sense of who everybody was.

What does the dream mean? Looking foward to seeing what happens when he stops resisting and follows the train tracks.

A note of the formatting, usually in fiction writing you want to start a new paragraph everytime there's a new speaker, e.g:

"I like pizza," Dave said.

"So do I," answered Mike.

Rather than:

I like pizza," Dave said. "So do I," answered Mike.

There are writers who don't do this so it's definitely not mandatory, but I think starting a new paragraph when there's a new speaker improves the overall clarity of the piece. It immediatly lets the resder know when there's a new speaker during dialogue.

Over all I really enjoyed the piece though. Looking foward to seeing what happens next.

Thank you! It's fun to see how it's going to unfold, I'm not entirely sure.

Great to see how far you have come! Due to some circumstances, the mental and emotional exhaustion and the loss of motivation, I stopped writing to prompts, and now I am finding it very difficult to jump back on track.

Waiting for the second part! Good luck!

Thank you! Be patient with yourself. How would it feel to just respond to the prompts that feel exhilarating to you?

I wish to participate fully, or I would rather not participate at all. I want to respond to the prompts but I feel I have missed a lot. Is it possible for me to start from wherever I am at this moment? Am I allowed to?

My opinion is yes! There is no requirement for participation!

Thanks Reginald! I will try to make a comeback soon.

Yeah, I try to. But I find myself sinking under the weight of my own expectations. Because I know I can do it. But I need to understand just because I can, doesn't mean I have to. At least not at the cost of my own well-being.

Good start Reginald, I am curious about the dream. I like the normal setting and the character seems likeable. I wonder where this will lead to. Thank you for sharing this and good job expanding that microfiction!
